Anja Brinkmann was inspired by many foreign travels when she spent time as a guide in Portugal, Greece and Spain. She decided in 2002 to return to Germany and make space and time in her life for painting and realize her ideas on canvas.

For career reasons, but mainly for the many possibilities that Berlin offers artists, she decided to return to Germany, where she now lives and works. In her own words she describes her works in the broadest sense as "psychedelic landscapes" that on the second take, reveal phantastic worlds that in every day life remain unseen.
